Rafiqul Islam

Rafiqul Islam is a distinguished Bangladeshi photographer whose career transitioned from graphic design in the 1980s to professional photography in the early 1990s. He honed his craft by obtaining a diploma from the Begart Institute of Photography under the mentorship of M. A. Beg and furthered his education at the New York Institute of Photography in 1991-92. During his time in the United States, Rafiqul gained valuable experience in advertising photography, which he brought back to Bangladesh in 1993, collaborating with leading advertising agencies and corporate clients.
In addition to his commercial work, Rafiqul is a passionate educator and author. He founded Prism in 1993, initially focusing on advertising photography and later expanding into publications and training by 1998. Through Prism, he offers specialized photographic training courses and has published four books on various aspects of photography, aiming to enhance the skills of photographers at all levels.
