Nasir Khan Saikat is a multifaceted Bangladeshi visual artist, software engineer, photographer, and community leader. Based in Dhaka, he has made significant contributions to the realms of digital storytelling, architectural preservation, and open-source technology.

As a photographer, Saikat specializes in architectural and landscape imagery, often utilizing 360-degree photography to create immersive virtual tours. His notable project, “Hidden Heritage: Homes in Dhaka,” documents historic residences in the city, combining photography, video, and architectural drawings to preserve and share the cultural narratives of these spaces.

In the tech community, Saikat is recognized for his work as a full-stack developer and his advocacy for open knowledge. He serves as the joint secretary of the Bangladesh Open Source Network and is the Bangladesh Lead for Creative Commons. Additionally, he contributes to the Scratch Programming project as a language manager, promoting coding education among youth.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Saikat is an active Wikimedian and has been contributing to Wikipedia since 2008. He also holds a position on the Museum Management Committee of the Asiatic Society Heritage Museum, reflecting his commitment to cultural preservation.
