Md. Mahabubur Rahman (Sujon Mahabub)

​A versatile visual and performance artist, Md. Mahabubur Rahman (Sujon Mahabub) was born on October 10, 1988, into a noble family in Monpura, a coastal island in the Bhola district of Bangladesh. He is the son of heroic freedom fighter Md. Abul Kashem Matabbar and Amina Begum. Raised amidst rural nature, he dreamed of becoming an artist since childhood. He successfully completed his BFA from the Narayanganj Fine Arts Institute and an MFA from the University of Development Alternative (UODA). He also trained in Kathak Dance at the Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts and completed a Japanese Language course at the Institute of Modern Languages (IML), University of Dhaka.

Known as the “hawker of art,” Sujon Mahabub has engaged in multi-dimensional practices, including painting, filmmaking, theater, choreography, design, makeup, and photography.
