Imtiaz Alam Beg
BPS Standing Committee Member.

Imtiaz Alam Beg, son of the legendary Manzoor Alam Beg, emerged as one of Bangladesh’s most influential photographers, particularly renowned for pioneering band photography, documenting the iconic rock music scene from the early 1990s.
Since beginning his professional career in 1991, Beg has built an acclaimed portfolio of concert covers, album shoots, and stage portraits for legendary groups like Miles, LRB, Renaissance, Aurthohin, and Arc. His award-winning work has been showcased internationally, including exhibitions in Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Beyond his own lens, he has played a vital role in photography education: as Director of the Begart Institute of Photography—Bangladesh’s first photography training center, founded by his father in 1960—and as an instructor at the Bangladesh Photographic Institute (BPI) under the Bangladesh Photographic Society (BPS).
Imtiaz has also served as a Life Member of BPS since 1986, contributing to society events, judging national contests, delivering workshops, and mentoring generations of photographers through BPS and BPI platforms
