4th BPS International Photograph Competition & Exhibition 2019

The salon is organized under the approved rules of The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and Photographic Society of America (PSA). Competition is open to anyone worldwide. PATRONAGE

For Digital:
The authors must submit photos online. Photos must be in JPG file format, maximum dimensions: 1920 pixels in horizontal side and 1080 pixel in vertical side in 300 dpi Maximum file size 2MB
For Print:
Entrant will have to register himself at our website. Only registered entrants will be allowed to upload print details along with a similar version (1920 X 1028 at 300 DPI) of print image for final verification and publication of selected images in the salon PDF Catalogue. No specific file name is required but a valid file name must be given it can be the title of the image. Please do not use special character like as / & % # @ * ! The final print size should not less than 8 x 12 inches and should not be larger than 12 x 18 Inches including border if any. Please write your name, category or section and image title to each print.

FILE NAMING & TITLE:
No need Specific file naming, the only title can be a file name for the image. All images must have a title.

USD $ 30 or 25 EURO for any or all sections (Digital and Print) for foreign and as well as Bangladeshi entrant. For group entry (Minimum 5 participants): USD 25 or EURO 20 for any or all sections (Digital and Print) for foreign and as well as Bangladeshi entrant. Possible way of payment

JURY:
Juries will meet together on 7th February 2020, Dhaka, Bangladesh for judgment in all sections. No online judgment. Honorable Jury Members:

Each round of judging will not contain more than ONE image from each entrant. The jury decision is final. Everyone should respect the jury decision. No bad correspondence will be entertained and this correspondence will send directly to FIAP and PSA. As a new rule of FIAP, only 25% of images will be accepted in the respective section.

ENTRY Rules
BPS – HP 14th National Photography Competition & Exhibition 2019
Bangladesh Photographic Society (BPS) has called its prestigious National Photography Competition & Exhibition 2019 in collaboration with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
1. RULES & REGULATION
1A AnyBangladeshi national can participate in this contest. Original works should be photographed by the participant and the copyright will retain with the photographer.
1B Contest theme is “Bangladesh” with unique creativity. Negative images of Bangladesh, nude & Political views will not be accepted.
1C Photo previously exhibited or awarded in any national contest will not be accepted.
1D BPSkeeps all rights to disqualify any entry if not submitted as per the terms and conditions. BPS reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time without notification.
1E Exhibition Committee, Jury and their family members cannot participate in this competition. 1F Submitted images must be taken in Bangladesh by the author.
1G Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. For digital imaging section(s) images may be acquired digitally, or scanned from traditional film to create a digital file. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates, subject to Nature, Photo Travel and divisional restrictions.
2. AUTHOR COPYRIGHT
Each entrant owns the copyright of the submitted images. The entrant certifies the work as his own. The entrant permits the organizers to reproduce the entered material free of charge for promotional purposes related to the salon, like catalogue and website, unless specifically stated otherwise by the entrant on the entry form.

5A BDT.100.00 (One Hundred) for each image.

7. WORK SIZE
Digital image format : JPEG, sRGB color profile, Maximum 4000 pixels, not less than 2000 pixels on longest side. Maximum file size 5MB, not less than 2MB.
8. SUBMISSION FILE NAME AS FOLLOW
Two Digit Serial Number_author Name_Title
For example you are submitting works in open color section, your name is Nazrul Islam and title is Joy of life. So file name should be as follow :01_Nazrul Islam_Joy of life
9. REPORT CARD & CATALOG
Results will be notified by email and all the judging results or decision are final. All acceptance will get one Print/digital catalogue by hand or post to his mailing address after exhibition.
10. EXHIBITION
200 Print (awarded and accepted images) will be displayed in the exhibition. Public showing Print Exhibition and projected images will take place at National Art Gallery, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka
All accepted images will be exhibited on the BPS website www.bpsbd.org
For Judgement all images will be displayed on the Macintosh IMac 27” for judging. Native resolution of screen is 3840 by 2160 pixels
